The cottage is set in a wonderful location on the edge of the hamlet of Eastleigh, surrounded by open rolling countryside, approx. 9 miles from Crediton & 17 miles from Exeter. The nearest village is Lapford some 3 miles away with primary school, local shop and garage, church, bus service and train station, with regular services to Exeter & Barnstaple.
The cottage is set in wonderful mature gardens with expanses of lawn, numerous shrubs and trees and wooded area, parking for numerous cars and store shed, in all extending to in excess of an acre.
The property is being let on a flexible basis starting at six months, possibly longer by separate negotiation and is fully furnished to a high standard (although the owners can remove some items by arrangement).
Although the gardens are extensive, they are relatively low upkeep, with regular lawn cutting / pruning of some shrubs and strimming of other areas being the tenant’s responsibility (the owner has a gardener and a cleaner available, payable locally, if required).
The council tax & utility bills etc are the tenant’s responsibility but if the tenants prefer (due to the relatively short tenancy period) this can be left in the owners name and paid directly to them. Well behaved Pets are Welcome.
Take the A377 from Crediton towards Barnstaple. Around 6 miles on at Morchard Road (just past the Devonshire Dumpling) turn left as signed Winkleigh, Bideford, Torrington. After around 2.5 miles turn left as signed Eastleigh. Follow this road for around a mile, when you come to a telephone box on your right-hand side, turn left and just along there on the right you will find Elmside.
